I have this gold coin The World’s Smallest Gold Coin, and it has a picture of John. F. Kennedy on the front. On the back it says 25 dollars. I know that this type of coin is more of a collectors item, but can I actually use it to buy things at the store?

Is the gold a more dense metal? Or is is simply an optical illusion and the thickness is actually greater on the gold coin?
